Umineko Kareru
A downloadable Kareru for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Before reading "Umineko Kareru", it is highly recommended that you have read, and finished, at least all eight episodes of Umineko, as this story takes place after the events of Ep 1-8.
All side stories(Hane, Tsubasa, Saku) are optional, and it will not negatively impact your experience if you haven't read them. Reading them would simply provide a small amount of context to certain characters within "Umineko Kareru".

"Umineko Kareru" is an unofficial forgery, created by myself, simply because I love Umineko, and wanted to create and share a story within this universe. I casually worked on this throughout a few months in 2021, not really getting very far, and never really thought I'd seriously ever release anything. Then around March of 2022, I randomly decided to start working on on this project again, which then escalated into becoming more of a serious reality.
This first part was quite a lot of work (...so...many...sprites...), but even if only a few people enjoy reading it, then it'll have been worth it! So far, this is only the first part of three, so please stay tuned!
********************************************************************************
I've not done anything noteworthy on, or offline, so there's not a lot of history to talk about. This is my first time creating and releasing anything as big as this, and while I've used the internet for quite some time, I've never really interacted much with any communites or people, so I'm still extremely new to all this.
I've only used Reddit and Discord a few times (I still get nervous when posting online, or even just going into a Discord server!), and I've never even used any other social media(aside from occasional Twitter scrolling), so hopefully, I'm doing a decent job.
*********************************************************************************
I've created a few accounts specifically for my creative presence, but don't be afraid to send an unrelated message if you've got something else you'd like to say to me!

The original story and characters of "Umineko no Naku Koro Ni", were created by Ryukishi07 and 07th Expansion. I'm simply borrowing those characters, and utilizing the original story's framework for Kareru.
All artwork and music belong to their respective artists. I made slight modifications to some sprites, but I do not take credit for drawing or composing any assets or music used in "Umineko Kareru".
The engine used to make this game was Ren'Py, and as I know little to nothing about coding/programming, I must thank the many random posts scattered throughout the internet, which helped me figure things out for Kareru.
A big thanks also goes to RevivedReplayer/James's code within Uminetta's forgery "Purgatory of the Golden Witch", from which I grabbed the framework code for the UI, then modified, and made it fit Kareru. This obviously helped speed things up tremendously, and made the coding process a lot easier!
So, the only thing I'll really take credit for is the writing, which was done solely by me.(As well as arranging and organizing everything, but that's nothing compared to actually creating the assets.)(Although, that still took a super long time!)
*********************************************************************************
Whew, hopefully that's everything. I apologize in advance if I've missed something, or didn't credit someone I should have. Since I'm working alone, it can be very easy to miss these things.
Anyway, if you actually read all of this, thank you! I wanted to be as thorough and transparent as I could for my first project (especially since I have no idea what I'm doing!). Hopefully you'll enjoy reading this as much (or even more?!) as I had fun making it!
*********************************************************************************
And finally, please feel free to livestream, let's play, twitter react, draw fanart, and/or share your experience/thoughts in some other way. If you do so, (and you're comfortable with sharing it) please message/tag me @YojiYonjuYonpun, or use the hashtag #UminekoKareru, so that I can enjoy viewing/reading it!
After all, at least half the reason for creating this forgery, was so fans of Umineko (and myself) could experience more tales within this universe. So please, don't hesitate to share your thoughts, I'd love to read them all!
(Also, since I have very little knowledge about the Umineko fandom (or any fandom), if you know of any places where this game may be discussed, then please let me know, as I'd love to read any thoughts or discussions! Thank you.)
<See you again, have a nice day!>

Kareru would be a good work if it wasn't umineko forgery. Unfortunately, it is such a forgery and there is not even a drop of love as well as there is no understanding of characters and general philosophy of original novel.
P.S. After some thinking i have reached the conclusion that the original umineko themes could've never been the point of Kareru and goal of it's author which is valid though absolutely sacrilegious to me but the level of character treatment and mischaracterization is still horrendous and cannot be fully justified with the game master personality. At this point it's not even Umineko, it's just a game with similar gameboard and pieces.
Just finished reading and wow, I am blown away. Without spoiling anything, I loved how the characters played off of each other, especially Lambdadelta and Bernkastel.
I hope those next two chapters come soon enough, even if I'm a little late to the party. Consider myself hooked.
I just finished reading and I really need the next two chapters.
Until a certain point, that I don't want to spoil, the characters feels exactly as you remember and it really feel like a official new chapter, then my mind just exploded.
I love the end of the chapter and I don't even know what to say, it just so good and so fitting that if I didn't know that is a fangame I would have never been able to say it was not official.
Really impressive, maybe it just suit my liking but I onestly think it is fantastic. (Also the artworks on the main menu are really gorgeous).
Wow, this was an absolutely insane roller coaster rides in the best way. A fangame full of awesome and original ideas. I'm incredibly excited to see the next part!
I didn't have high expectations at first, but this project managed to surprise me!
Was a fun read, certainly looking forward to the next parts.
